Hikvision AcuSense 8-Camera System — Westlands Office Block
8-camera Hikvision AcuSense IP system with access control for a multi-tenant office block in Westlands.
The Challenge
A 1.5-acre compound with irregular boundary wall heights and dense vegetation along the rear perimeter creating significant camera sight-line challenges. The existing analogue coaxial cable was in poor condition and could not carry HD-over-coax signals, requiring full re-cabling.
Our Solution
We ran 16 individual CAT6 cable runs from the main gate guard post — chosen as the central NVR location — to each camera position. Wide-angle ColorVu cameras with 2.8mm lenses were positioned at boundary wall mid-points to maximise coverage despite the irregular terrain. We cleared minimal vegetation at 4 camera positions to restore sight lines without major tree removal.
The Outcome
Complete 100% perimeter coverage with zero blind spots confirmed by walk-through test. The client now receives motion-triggered push notifications to their smartphone for any movement on the boundary wall at night. The electric fence alarm triggers a camera pop-up on the NVR monitor whenever a perimeter zone is activated.
